Care Instructions
Like most things, nothing lasts forever. Your Happy Hound Collar is no exception either. Imagine if you wore the same pair of shoes every day for a year. I doubt they would look like they did when you first purchased them. However, I can say with confidence that your collar will last a long time if proper care is given.
First, your collar can be washed in your washing machine (top or front loaders). I recommend gentle cycle, cold water as well. Second, your collar will not fade as quickly if you line dry it. The warm air of the dryer against the cotton fabric of the collar will quickly fade the fabric. Third, occasionally take a nail clipper to any loose threads that you see. Some people use a lighter and melt the loose threads. Be very careful when doing this. I do not recommend doing this as the incorrect application will burn the fabric and satin. Finally, changing your collar out periodically with other collars you have will make your Happy Hound Collar last longer as well as your other collection too. I don't sell tag collars just yet but it definitely is something in my future that I plan on introducing. Tag collars will make your existing collar collection last a long time as well.
